JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC is an injectable that is designed to temporarily correct facial wrinkles for adults over the age of 21.
It is a cosmetic filler that’s injected into areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur including the “parentheses lines” around the nose and mouth. It helps patients have a smoother appearance on their face.
Over time, wrinkles develop on your face due to a variety of environmental and genetic factors, and nasolabial folds may become more visible. You shouldn’t get VOLLURE treatments if you have a history of multiple severe allergies or severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), or if you are allergic to lidocaine or the Gram-positive bacterial proteins (because these are used in VOLLURE).
VOLLURE lasts up to 18 months with optimal treatment according to studies. Talk with your Dermatology Clinic of Idaho Provider to learn more about the treatment plan recommended for you.
JUVÉDERM VOLLURE XC is designed to temporarily add volume to the facial wrinkles and create a smoother appearance on the face. Lidocaine in the gel helps make the injection more comfortable by reducing sensitivity to pain.
The most common side patients report after VOLLURE treatments include firmness, swelling, tenderness to touch, lumps/bumps, redness, pain, bruising, itching, and discoloration at the injection site.Â
These side effects were usually mild or moderate, which means they caused little to some discomfort and impact on daily activities. The side effects usually lasted 14 days or less.
Most patients have minimal downtime after getting VOLLURE treatments. You can expect mild swelling or redness and possible bruising, though it should last only a few days and can often be concealed with makeup.Â
